Brief review

glipTA was a conceptual space developed during my time as artistic director of TACEC. Its design and construction was deployed during the months of March to August 2018. It was financed thanks to the contribution of sponsors such as Miksa, the support of the Foundation Teatro Argentino and self-founded Tacec’s resources during that same year. Both the furniture and the interactive lighting system was designed and/or recycled by the technicians and agents of the Theater who were trained for this purpose. It counted on the fundamental collaboration of the stage design chief Maria José Besozzi and the coordination of Javier Latrónico.

All aesthetic movement always starts from a community. These communities generally conform by chance, but also by the shared development of innovations, technical decisions (philosophical, social and technological) and by the belief system that projects. This system is affirmed from the positive evaluation and the diffusion of its replicable principles. If it were a lyrical theater, the place for this would be:

  • A space of exchange and laboratory in which to objectify different nuclei of knowledge necessary for the updating of the performative arts (see nuclei). The creation of GLIPTA , in the places available by 9 Street.
  • Diversity and balance. Connect with diverse cultural groups, connect closed projects of consecrated artists with the generation of emerging artists.
  • Reciprocity of the local and foreign scene in an environment of collaboration and international training.
  • Generate a scene of political discussion including social actors as material. self-financing based on public-private relations, renewable energies and return.
  • Promote artistic excellence based on the critical assessment of the materials produced, the generation of value of works and artists, the training of journalists and new audiences.
