What would happen if music were language? Or if we communicated not only with sounds but also with a network of collective actions, movements, and gestures?
What bodily function would be to sight what the human voice is to hearing?
Could we pronounce colors or shapes in space?
Historically, the abacus was the first counting machine, a mandalic decision-making computer.
In this game, paradoxically, a system allows musicians to interact in an unmeasured rhythm that makes the points in time infinite.
The game is based on a previous work called Reality Accelerator for musicians distributed in space. It establishes a repertoire of actions together with conditions of connection between the performers, generating emerging and complex textures.
In this case, the spatial parameter of the game has been specially adapted for Sebastián Roque’s installation at Movil.cheLA.
The ensemble is made up of students from the UNTREF Bachelor of Music program and guest musicians.
Approximate duration: 40 minutes.
