reConvert Teatro Argentino Workshop

On Friday, August 30, between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., an Intensive Seminar on Contemporary Percussion will be held by the members of the duo reConvert Project, Víctor Barceló and Roberto Maqueda, organized by the Center for Experimentation and Creation of the Teatro Argentino de La Plata (TACEC), part of the Cultural Institute of the Province of Buenos Aires.

The seminar, which will take place in the Orchestra Hall, located in the second basement of the Teatro Argentino (entrance on Calle 53), is co-produced with conDIT (Conciertos del Distrito Tecnológico de Buenos Aires) and is intended for composers, percussionists, and students of composition and percussion.

The specific content to be covered will include advanced writing techniques, drumsticks and their uses, electronics, new instruments, styles and schools in history and today, new repertoire, theatrical music, solos, chamber music, and stage presence.

Barceló and Maqueda, current disciples of Christian Dierstein at the MusikAkademie der Stad Basel, are offering this seminar as part of a series of concerts, educational activities, and master classes in Buenos Aires, La Plata, Córdoba, and Santiago de Chile, produced by conDIT/cheLA and Mecenazgo Buenos Aires, with the support of the Government and the Youth Institute of Extremadura, the Teatro Argentino in La Plata, and the Spanish Cultural Centers in Buenos Aires, Córdoba, and Santiago de Chile.
