kimi is a dynamic music score language. At first, kimi starts from the traditional proportional notation on a scrolling timeline where events are synchronised with a play line. This allows the creation of scores for parameters such as pitch and adaptive orchestration that can organize real-time ensembles from input data.
In Kimi the times of musical creation are intervened. In a traditional structure, the time of creation between the driving idea and its realization is mediated by historically and culturally stratified methodologies: In the traditional division of labor, a composer (starting from a driving idea) begins by cutting out the world of infinite possibilities into a controlled universe that engenders a work.
